What is Numerical Reasoning?

Numerical reasoning is a type of a test that evaluates ability of an applicant to understand, analyze, and make a conclusion based on data presented in numerical or statistical forms.

What types of questions are included in numeric reasoning test?

Contains variety of questions, including:

  • Basic Arithmetic: Depends on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division questions, as well as questions involving big numbers.
  • Percentages and Ratios: Compute percentages, work with ratios, and comprehend proportions.
  • Data Interpretation: Draw conclusions or identify trends by analyzing charts, graphs, and tables.

In general, there is no need to memorize a lot of complicated formulas or apply heavy computations, but rather apply sound logical reasoning while analyzing numbers.

The main goal of the numerical reasoning tests is to identify those candidates who have analytical natures, which would be neccessary for a particular job that requires a high degree of numerical competency.
